Reading is a very useful pastime. "'Reading make a full man" is an epithet of Francis Bacon. There is a truth in this great saying. The habit of reading is highly advantageous to anyone. Reading helps us to acquire knowledge on various subjects, Apart from that we can get mental satisfaction by reading. Books are written by great persons. So we can store our mind with great thinkers of the world by reading their bools. Good books are storehouses of human knowledge and wisdom.

An insensitive person can become a sensitive person by reading books. The government spends a lot to establish public libraries throughout the country. The main objective of this effort is to cultivate reading habit among people. When a person takes to reading he or she will never complete to waste his or her valuable time on useless things. We can gain pleasure too buy reading novels, short stories, poems and so on.. In view of the above facts it is apparent that reading is a very useful hobby.
